EU Directive Compliance

Eagle Tech complies to the EU Directive requirements detailed below:

1
Directive 2003/11/EC (24th amendment to 76/769/EC) – Establishes Hazardous Chemicals Restriction on sale, marketing, and use of dangerous substances including pentabromodiphenyl ether (PentaBDE), octabromo-diphenyl ether (octaBDE), and diphenylether pentabromo or octabromo derivative (CHBrO). These products are typically used as flame-retardants in plastics. Effective August 15, 2004.
2
Directive 2003/53/EC (26th amendment to 76/769/EC) – Establishes Hazardous Chemicals Restriction on sale, marketing, and use of dangerous substances such as nonylphenol ethoxylate, nonylphenol, and cement containing chromium VI. Effective January 17, 2005.
3
Directive 2002/95/EC One of the requirements of RoHS for manufacture of electrical and electronic equipment is to eliminate six environmentally-sensitive materials including mercury, lead, cadmium, and hexavalent chromium; also restricts using PBB and PBDE flame retardants. Effective July 1, 2006.
4
Directive 2011/65/EU Directive of the European Parliament and of the Council of 8 June 2011 establishes restricted use of many hazardous substances both in electrical and electronic equipment.

REACH Compliance

To meet REACH requirements, Eagle Tech works to use chemical materials that assist in reducing the effect on environmental health for all people and the environment. We also follow all laws at all levels of government so that the products we produce meet the requirements of REACH to minimize the impact on our local environment and the world.

Conflict Minerals Statement of Policy

Violence and human rights violations in the mining of specific minerals in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), and surrounding countries, led the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to require reporting and disclosure tracking for Conflict Minerals, as directed by the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act of 2010.

As a privately held company, Eagle Tech is not required to report to the SEC but still works to adhere to the intent of the law. Eagle Tech is committed to not source “Conflict Minerals” and requires our suppliers to also comply with SEC rules and regulations related to Conflict Minerals.
